Comedian and television producer Chris Rock with wife Malaak Compton-Rock hosted a special Christmas shopping event at the Target store in Brooklyn for approximately 100 children from the Bushwick Salvation Army Center.
Each child that participated received a $250 Target gift card to shop for themselves or other loved ones on their Christmas list. Target donated an additional $100,000 to the Bushwick Salvation Army Center.
BET founder Bob Johnson attends a gala event in Baltimore honoring the late Reginald Lewis, America's first Black billionaire. Gala attendees also included American Express CEO Kenneth Chenault and Earl Graves, founder and publisher of Black Enterprise magazine.

Sean Taylor's grandmother is speaking out on the tragic death of her grandson, dispelling the stories surrounding his murder. She tells Essence.com:
