The Women In Entertainment Empowerment Network Presents First Annual 'Pink Carpet' Community Affair

In the wake of national dialogue surrounding the way women, particularly women of color, are portrayed in the media, corporate and entertainment industry leaders have joined forces to make a difference.

Global icons from music, television, radio, film, and sports will conduct a historical, groundbreaking and informative national tour on women's empowerment at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Saturday, June 28.

Hosted by the Women In Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN), the 'Pink Carpet' community affair titled - Don't Judge Me, Empower Me - will feature an exciting, never seen before discussion before 3,000 young adults on Healthy Relationships, Health, Financial Literacy and Career Development/Leadership. This event is FREE! The doors to the pink carpet will open at 1:30 p.m.

Join featured guests: MC Lyte (WEEN Senior Advisory Board Member), LeToya Luckett, Lil Mama, Lil Mo, Danyel Smith, Shanti Das, La La Vasquez, Alesha Renee, Melyssa Ford, Dawn of Danity Kane, Free and Julissa Bermudez.

Along with additional special guests Kevin Liles, Dr. Benjamin Chavis, Terrence J and Hill Harper, among others. The Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network is a program of the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network, founded by hip-hop mogul and entrepreneur Russell Simmons and Dr. Benjamin Chavis.
