I am pleased to announce the BlackGivesBack events page, a listing of community events, fundraisers, charity galas and more in your community! If you are a non profit organization or volunteer/community group and you would like to have your event listed, send event details to blackgivesback [at] gmail [dot] com, and include "BGB Events" in the subject line:

A website link, contact email and/or phone number to purchase tickets or to RSVP

The Black Culinarian Alliance Hosts Cultural Awareness Salute & Black Tie Gala
Former NBA player John Starks will be the keynote speaker for the Black Culinarian Alliance's (BCA) upcoming Cultural Awareness Salute and Black Tie Gala on Saturday, April 10th, 2010 at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. Now in its 17th year, this event honors the achievements of people of color in the hospitality and culinary business, provides a space for industry networking and dialogue about the advancement of diversity, and gives culinary students from around the country the opportunity to cook alongside nationally renowned chefs. HNA Sports Foundation: "The Game of Giving Back"
The founder of Humanitarian Neighborhood Alliance, Inc., (HNA Sports) invites the Los Angeles, CA community to salute black leaders as living examples of success for youth from under-served communities at the Staples Center on Wednesday, April 7, 2010. They want every youth organization, celebrity and business in Los Angeles who supports the values of giving back to get involved.
