Families in Atlanta received a special gift for the Thanksgiving holiday courtesy of the Konfidence Foundation, founded by international pop star Aliaune “Akon” Thiam and his mother Ms. Kine Gueye Thiam (pictured at center); and the Atlanta based Gidewon Foundation. On Tuesday, November 23rd, the organizations along with honorable guest Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed personally delivered 2,000 holiday turkeys to families that otherwise would be unable to purchase a holiday meal. The holiday giving will continue on Monday, December 20th as The Gidewon Foundation hosts its 6th Annual Christmas Holiday for Kids Affair in partnership with the Konfidence Foundation, who will be donating thousands of toys.

Golfer Zakiya Randall 'Z', Promotes "Staying Active" with Girls Inc.

Golfer Zakiya Randall (pictured 3rd from left), recently spoke to young girls in Atlanta about the importance of values and staying active. "You are so important to our future," shared Zakiya. She shared with the girls her love for the game and taught them the fundamentals and techniques of golf.
