The Fab Empire Celebrates 5 Years with Virtual Book Drive

The ladies of The Fab Empire celebrate five years.

Did you know that since 1983, 10 million American students have reached the 12th grade without learning how to read?

This year marks the fifth anniversary of The Fab Empire, the award-winning website that caters to young, urban professionals in cities across the U.S. that covers society, politics, celebrities and local events.

As part of their fifth anniversary, The Fab Empire is conducting a virtual book drive for elementary school students in Baltimore and Washington, D.C. With so many cut backs in our educational systems, students need access to books in order to achieve their goals. Let's bridge that gap.

Their goal is to raise $5,000 for new books -- $2,500 for DC Scholars Stanton Elementary in Washington, D.C. and $2,500 for George Washington Elementary School in Baltimore, Maryland. Every $2.50 raised translates to one new book for a child.

Please join them in their "Five Years of Fab Book Drive" to reach back and help the next generation. To donate, visit here.
