WATER MILL, NY – Under gorgeous evening skies on Saturday, August 25th, “The Sunset Party in The Hamptons” fundraiser was held to support the nonprofit organization Share Our Strength.

The host committee, Nana Adae, Melissa Otto, Monique Hayward, Celeste Smith and Fiona Wong greeted guests into the night as they arrived to host committee member Melissa Otto's secluded lakefront residence. An estimated eighty attendees dined on hors d'oeuvres, drinks and dinner, and took in the breathtaking atmosphere and view.

Sponsors included CLSA, PartySWANK and musician Tomas Doncker, Wolffer Estate Vineyard, Pepsi, Rent the Runway, which provided the hosts designer gear from Halston Heritage, Calvin Klein and others to wear during the event, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Kwadwo Adae, a New Haven, CT based emerging artist whose pieces can be found in collections from Washington, DC to Miami, donated three vibrantly colored oil paintings from his “Kwadrilaterals”series for bidding.

Host Melissa Otto and Christal M. Jackson of Share Our Strength addressed and thanked the crowd for helping to raise funds to end childhood hunger and ensuring that every child receives the nutrition needed to lead healthy, happy lives. The silent auction included original artwork by Artist Kwadwo Adae, Nirmala Narine cook book sets, a Marc Jacobs handbag from Saks Fifth Avenue, Molton Brown gift set, Therapie New York body care set, and a Tory Burch handbag. One lucky winner took home a $2000 gift card from Saks Fifth Avenue from a grand raffle drawing. A total of $5,000 was raised for the organization.  To view more photos from the event, visit here.
